11th Hour has served over 1000 weddings at The BRIX.  With their process of custom bar design, tastings, and managing the process, we think they are the best and easiest choice.  They guarantee that you won't run out of alcohol if you follow their list.   That said, you are free to choose any service.

First, make sure they are competent, fast, that they help you design your shopping list, and will own the process for you.  Here's an article on the importance of speed of service and understanding this is critical for having a great bar service.

The BRIX requirements are:

  1.  The bartending company / bartender must be insured and must provide a Certificate of Insurance with The BRIX on The Fox listed as an additional insured.
    • Your host liability insurance is different than "retail" or DRAM insurance.  They must must have $2M of liquor liability to serve at The BRIX.
  2. All bartenders must be BASSET Certified. The names of the bartenders and/or Basset certification may be requested by The BRIX, although this is your legal requirement to verify.
  3. The bartender/bartending company should complete a walkthrough with The BRIX. The walkthrough can be scheduled at www.brixonfox.com/walkthrough.

We suggest getting your bartender approved at least 6 months prior to your wedding.  In many cases, smaller bartending companies do not have adequate insurance and this takes some time to procure or find a new bartending service.
