Plated

For plated, we generally recommend a max of two tables pushed together (i.e. 16 guests), so your caterer can serve the tables faster. Longer rows can slow down the service for a plated meal. If you really like the look of longer rows and want a plated meal, that’s no problem at all. Just let your caterer know your plans so the can staff accordingly!

Family Style

For family style you’ll need to decorate so there's room to place the platters. This tends to work out great with most décor styles at The BRIX, just a small consideration.

Stations

Stations that look and feel like buffet lines will actually make it much longer to serve your guests. If you place all of the stations in one area of the venue, it will take three times longer to serve your guests if your guests go to each station before sitting down.

That said if your stations are spaced separately throughout the venue and the DJ lets guests know the stations will be open throughout dinner, stations can work great. A recent couple helped people understand the station concept by only providing smaller plates. It worked great, and people "grazed" vs. loading up one plate.
